Work with us to protect and commercialize your research
To protect your invention and start the commercialization process, start by reporting your invention. Fill out the invention disclosure form, print and sign it and bring it to the Technology Transfer Office at the Innovation Cluster building 3, 2nd floor, or email it to ip@kaust.edu.sa
Why protect your research?
One of the most important steps in the university’s technology transfer processes is the inventor’s submission of a confidential invention disclosure form. This document gives the Technology Transfer Office the required information to start the technology commercialization process. Faculty, students and research scientists are required to submit an invention disclosure form to the Technology Transfer Office for any discoveries, ideas or inventions before publishing or otherwise sharing those findings with third parties. Disclosing to a third party before disclosing to the Technology Transfer Office may result in the loss of rights or opportunities for both the University and the inventor.
