KAUST Innovation Ventures and the Entrepreneurship Center supports and mentors high-potential deep tech startups that are open for investment and collaboration. Our startups come from across the physical and chemical sciences, as well as IT and digital technologies. Many of our startups came about through one of KAUST’s startup accelerators or mentorship programs.

QD Solar
QD Solar develops next-generation printable high-power, low-cost tandem perovskites/quantum dot solar cell materials and technology compatible with R2R manufacturing.
NOMADD
NOMADD creates solar panel cleaning solutions utilizing cloud-controlled autonomous robots. Their technology is specifically designed to function in desert environments.
SensoTech
SensoTech offers revolutionary DMOR technology that accurately measures the multiphase flow, optimizing the oil production process.
Iyris
Iyris innovates greenhouses for desert environments. Combining Adaptilight, Volta and GroGlass technologies, Iyris supports optimized and productive equatorial greenhouses.
Medad Technologies
Medad develops industrial waste energy adsorption/desorption technologies to desalinate and purify wastewater. Utilizing waste heat for power, their electrical consumption is five times lower than competitors’ solutions.
K-Cool
K-Cool is a disruptive air conditioning system. It requires no compressor, instead using an indirect evaporative cooler integrated with a desiccant-based dehumidifier that works in all weather conditions.

modus crafts reliable IP-protected drilling tools designed to improve performance and wellbore quality while reducing downhole tool-related non-productive time.
