A number of startups championed by KAUST’s Entrepreneurship Center and Innovation Fund were highlighted at Forbes Middle East’s ‘Entrepreneurs Shaping Saudi Arabia’s Future 2015: Exclusive Ceremony and Gala Dinner,’ which was held on December 15 in Riyadh.
Under the patronage of HRH Prince Faisal Bin Bandar Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the ceremony celebrated the Kingdom’s abundant supply of budding entrepreneurs.
Amongst the KAUST-related companies listed as top 100 innovative startups were FalconViz (#3), NOMADD (#6), Visual Experience (#10), CMS (#27), Nations Bazaar (#35) and EasyWay (#89).
“The Entrepreneurship Center has played an instructor, mentor and advisor role to all these companies in the past year,” said Gordon McConnell, Manager of the Entrepreneurship Center at KAUST. “We are delighted they received this recognition and aim for more KAUST startups to be listed next year.”
