Hikma is the Arabic term for “wisdom,” alluding to the vision for KAUST as a modern-day “House of Wisdom.” The Hikma IP-Based Startup Accelerator was formed to help identify, develop and speed the formation of intellectual-property-based startups—and thereby grow the Kingdom’s knowledge economy.
Hikma is a six-month process that begins with a three-day series of mentor-led workshops. It is designed to provide a structured development process for startup activities that are focused on intellectual property, and ultimately support new businesses based on university technologies.
Registration closes October 20.
